This is our design
philosophy

What does E&W specialize in?

E&W is a Stockholm-based brand and digital design agency. Our core work spans brand identity, web design and development, digital products, design systems, motion and 3D, with strategy included when a project needs a stronger foundation.

Do you work with startups and scaleups?

Yes. We work with startups, scaleups and established companies, often in technology-led categories. We can support a company from an early brand build or rebrand through website, product and ongoing digital design.

Do you specialize in tech, AI and SaaS companies?

We have extensive experience with tech, AI, SaaS, fintech and B2B companies, where complex products need to be made clear, distinctive and credible. Our work includes companies such as 11x, HappyRobot, Paligo, Furhat Robotics, Airon and Legora.

Can you design and develop the website as well?

Yes. Web development is a core part of our work. We can design and develop websites in Webflow, Framer, Next.js/React or custom HTML, CSS and JavaScript. We adapt the setup to the client. We can handle design and development end to end, collaborate with an internal or external development team, or hand over the design for the client to build themselves.

What does a typical branding project include?

Scope varies, but a typical project can include strategic foundations, positioning, visual concept, logo, typography, color, imagery, motion, design systems, website design and development, and brand guidelines. We tailor the process to the company and the final output that matters most.

Do you offer brand strategy?

Yes, when needed, but it is not our main service. Our core focus is brand identity and digital execution. For projects that require a broader strategic foundation, we work with the client directly and can bring in senior strategy specialists from our close network.

Do you work with international companies?

Yes. We are based in Stockholm but work with companies in Sweden and internationally. Our projects are often run in English and can be delivered remotely or in close collaboration with distributed teams.

Can you work with an existing brand strategy?

Yes. If positioning, messaging or a broader brand strategy is already in place, we can use it as the foundation for the identity and digital expression. We are used to collaborating with internal teams and external strategy partners.

What makes E&W different from a traditional branding agency?

We design with the final output in mind. Instead of treating the identity as a presentation that is handed over at the end, we develop the brand through the places where people actually experience it, such as the website, product and digital touchpoints. That keeps strategy, identity and execution closely connected.

What web development platforms and technologies do you use?

We develop websites in Webflow, Framer, Next.js and React, as well as custom HTML, CSS and JavaScript when that is the right solution. We choose the setup based on the client’s needs, including content management, performance, integrations, scalability and how the site will be maintained after launch.

Can you work with our own developers?

Yes. We can handle design and development end to end, collaborate closely with an internal or external development team, or deliver the design for your team to build themselves. We adapt the process, files, design system and handover to the way your team prefers to work.

Do you work with B2B companies?

Yes. A large part of our work is for B2B and technology companies with complex products, services or buying journeys. We help make those businesses easier to understand and more distinctive through branding, digital design, websites and product experiences.

Do you do rebrands as well as new brand identities?

Both. We create new brand identities for companies building a brand from the ground up and rebrand established companies that have outgrown their current identity. The scope can range from an evolution of an existing system to a complete repositioning and visual redesign.

Do you work with product design and UI/UX?

Yes. We design digital products, interfaces and design systems, particularly when the product is an important part of the brand experience. Depending on the project, this can include product concept, UX, UI design, interaction design, prototyping and scalable design systems.

Can you adapt the project scope to our team and needs?

Yes. We adapt the scope to the company, its internal capabilities, timeline and what already exists. We can take on a complete branding and digital project, focus on selected parts, collaborate with an in-house team or other partners, and adjust the process around what creates the most value.

This is our design process

Our philsophy is that a brand lives in the ouput. To achieve the right concept and feel we have to start in the right end, then establish it with the customer and most importantly avoid gaps in communication with the client.

1. Startup

We walk you through the upcoming process and get to know you and the brand better, so we can set up goals for the final output. It is important to us to know where you are, where you want to go, if you have references to show etc.

2. Moodboards

In this phase we usually know in what direction we want to go. We synchronize it with you and listen for your input. We have usually already have started outlining the final output and are testing it internally.

3. Brand identity

Here we are working with finalizing the concept, logotype, landing page, assets, colors and font.

4. Wireframes

Here we set the text and interactions in place to finalize the wireframes. We work in shared documents to be as transparent in the process as possible. If the customer needs external help with copywriting we have a network with freelancers that can help.

5. Web Design

In this phase we develop the website and set the final texts and structure. We develop the website in Webflow.

6. Assets and motion

This phase spans over the whole project, but here we finalize it and make it ready for delivery.

7. Guidelines

We make a seperate website for the guidelines which gives an insight to the thought process behind the design for a better understanding. We help the customer with usage and employees can log in to download assets, typefaces etc.
